If you create an account or contact us by email, we collect your email address and any information you include in your messages. We do not require an account to use the core Service.
We automatically collect standard server log data when you visit the Service: your IP address, browser type, referring URL, pages viewed, and the date and time of your visit. This data is used in aggregate to understand how the Service is used.
When you cast a vote in the community pulse feature, we record your response and a one-way hash of your IP address. The hash is used only to prevent duplicate voting and cannot be reversed to identify you.
We use PostHog for product analytics. PostHog collects pseudonymous usage events (page views, feature interactions) to help us improve the Service. PostHog data is not sold to third parties. You can opt out via your browser's Do Not Track setting.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Advertising on the Service is served by Google AdSense; see Section 5 for details.
Server logs are retained for 90 days and then deleted. Vote hashes are retained indefinitely to prevent re-voting but cannot be linked back to individuals. Account data is retained until you request deletion. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing privacy@taskexposed.com — we will process the request within 30 days.
Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable privacy law (including GDPR and CCPA) to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate data; request deletion; restrict or object to processing; and data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@taskexposed.com. We do not discriminate against users who exercise their privacy rights.
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We use industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure. If you discover a security vulnerability, please disclose it responsibly to security@taskexposed.com before public disclosure.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy with an updated "Last updated" date. For material changes, we will provide additional notice (such as an email notification if you have an account). Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
